Global Connected Car vendor Bright Box obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification
Global Connected Car vendor Bright Box obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification

Bright Box, a global vendor of solutions and platforms for the connected car industry, has been awarded ISO 27001 certification — an International Standard for Information Security Management System issued by external auditors — by the BSI (British Standards Institution). Bright Box is certified under ISO27001:2013.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification confirms the compliance of Bright Box’s practices with the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving information security management within the organization. Additionally, it considers risk assessment and treatment risk with respect to information security. The certificate is awarded to organizations that meet the highest international standards, as developed by the ISO, an independent, non-governmental international organization.

"The connected car is a very sensitive environment, being associated with consumer safety," said Bright Box CEO Ivan Mishanin." Car companies care about their customers and work on cybersecurity, which in turn helps our company, Bright Box. Customers today have high requirements for cybersecurity, and one of the strategic directions of our company, in its practical activities, is to counter cyber threats. The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification indicates that we're in complete control of our processes of product development and implementation, platform adaptation, support, maintenance, and operation. It's one of several measures we've taken to meet customer and market requirements in all territories in which Bright Box operates. Having the ISO 27001 helps us enhance customer confidence, ensure a secure operating environment and minimize business damage by reducing the impact of security incidents and eliminating the possibilities of reoccurrences of identified security incidents. It also helps us maximize business investments and opportunities."

Bright Box prepared for the independent audit by conducting comprehensive internal audits and risk assessments to ensure that all required controls were in place. The independent audit was performed by the BSI (British Standards Institution).

Recently, Bright Box announced that it had been acquired by Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich). Thus, the company's potential and existing customers are assured that Bright Box will operate according to the highest international standards.
