A Global Vendor of Connected Car Services, Bright Box, Expands its US Presence with Zurich Insurance North America

Bright Box, a global vendor of connected vehicle services, today announced the official opening of its brand new office in Schaumburg, IL, with Zurich North America, to expand its operations unit.

The opening of the new office signifies the importance of dealerships’ growing interest in the new innovations Bright Box is delivering as part of Zurich Insurance Group. The Schaumburg Bright Box team plan to provide unique, integrated connectivity platforms for dealerships and to offer full support for its US customers and partners.

Bright Box has been developing connectivity software for dealerships for about ten years and has analyzed the experiences of two million users of its mobile apps. Today Bright Box is the global vendor of a Connected Car platform named Remoto, which includes all the necessary components: a Telematic Control Unit (TCU) or OBD dongle to be installed in the vehicle, a web-based control panel, and a customer app for the vehicle's owner to control and track it remotely. The app allows users to follow up on the latest news and promotions, contact the dealer instantly regarding any problems, sign up for services and maintenance, book a test drive at a convenient time, or receive personalized offers from dealerships. And all this is far from being a complete list of the system’s functionality, combined with remote car control. As a result, users of the full version of the solution have access to the following features: vehicle tracking, remote car control, driving behavior, points of interest, wi-fi, vehicle self-health checkup, mobile payments, vehicle security, turn off location tracking.

The company intends to offer the US automotive market unique Customer Retention Services functionality for both dealers and users, who will receive a comprehensive, targeted, and customizable solution. Remoto has already been successfully deployed by several automakers, including Infiniti, KIA, Nissan, Toyota, Honda and about 1900 dealerships.

“At the end of last year, Bright Box was acquired by Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich). Today’s opening of the new office in Schaumburg, IL is a clear indication of how important this operations unit is, to offer full support for its US customers and partners. We are very excited to start US expansion to further strengthen our customer deployments and relationships”, said Alex Dimchenko, CSO at Bright Box.
